Jake's new ride

Here's Jake with his brand new 1982 KZ750. Ihave fond memories' of the KZ,s I know my dad had a few in his day. Jake bought this for 350 dollars and had me ride it home that day. Got it home changed the oil, plugs, adjusted the chain and bleed the brakes which the fluid looked like jelly. Runs like a top He is already looking into headers k&N filters and other hop up stuff, should be a fun project. Evan got any advise for us on this one?

Well here is a new thing in biking instead of riding my fixed gear bike I rike a fixed bike, bike. I don't think this kind of riding will catch on anytime soon but it makes for a good laugh. Let the perverse comments commence.

Family

Well one very wet family reuinon in the sunshine state of Washington. The pic was taken at deception state park on a very wet spring day. I swear after my parents and sister left it was really nice out figures. It was good to see them and they loved Katie as much as Tara and I.

I seem to have a lttle monkey on my back. Here is katie and and me chilling out, testing her backpack, she loves it until she falls asleep then her head bumps into the front part and wakes her up. That will pass when she's a little bit bigger or she's really tired.

Katie is growing

Five months into life and the changes have been amazing, the top picture is one of Katies first pictures when she couldn't hold her head up, slept almost all day, now she can stand with help will fight sleep with every once of enegy she ha She can recognize Mommy and daddy, loves to smile and laugh and it trying to figure out how to crawl so she can progress to bigger and better thing. It's benn five month of craziness but it been the best five months of my life weird how priorities change. Not to say i don't get on my bike or have some bike lust but just not as much.

Evan's Bike

Evan on his new cycle, sems Evan can't sit still if he's not ripping it up on his 4-wheeler drining his vet, building a house, diving in the keys or sking in colorado he's out riding his bike, A true original hooligan does all this while still being a Dad and a husband, Man where do you find the time, and when are you going to take some of that time and come out and ride with me? Spring ride catastrophe

Well as promised, We have the victim of the spring ride catastophe. Poor john wasRiding down the trail trying to be careful on the first ride of the year hit a slick spot and fell into the trees and dislocated his elbow. Unfortunatly that will end his riding season for a couple

of months but he should be good for kayak season. Shit happens, just always seems to happen to the nicest people.

Grandparents

Well here's Katie meeting Grandma and Grandpa law for the first time. Of course she stole their hearts. I just hope I can be as good a parent as they were to me. I couldn't get Katie from them the whole weekend between them and my sister I hardly got to hold her at all that weekend.

Here's Jose and I giving Matt's bike a little workout on the small drop on top of galbraith just somthing to get the cobbwebs out and get ready for summer riding, I'm in the tan shorts, this turns out to be about a 6to 7 foot drop when all said and done. Good times

spring ridin

Well here was the firts ride of spring on the first day of spring. The plan was to pedal one hour up galbraith mt. to the top on 45 pound freeride bikes just to fly down the hill hitting every jump, drop, mudhole in sight. It was Matt on his coiler in grey, John in tiedye on a buddy's bike, Jose on his new design stink and me on my "vintage" stink. Jose and I were sportin bikes northwest jersy's, gotta represent The pic of me jumping is the aftermaf of a no footer, Jose you need to learn how to snap a pic, you ride hard but you a bit slow on the camera. Well the day did't go quit as planned as we had a slight injury. I will post more pics soon telling the victim of the spring ride catastrophe, All and all though not a bad day just a crazy one.

Katie turns 3 months today. As you can see she is very happy about this. Scary to think how fast she is growing!

Navy time

Well I've been in the navy now for 10 years as a aviation mech, so I figured I'd share some pics of some of the A/C I've worked on. First the big boy the MH-53E at HM-14, Then Was the F/A-18 at VFc-12, Now I'm working on C9B's at VR-61. It's been an interesting ride Ive been all over the world It's a frustrating job sometimes but it's been worth it.

Happy couple

Here's 2 kids in love, my sister and here husband Jimmy, Jimmy is a good friend of mine and got me started in the bicycle industry(even if it is just part time). Then he introduced me to single speed bicycles and fixed gear bikes, me I introduced him to my sister. Dude I think you owe me! Just kidding , Both are happier than I've seen them in a long time So it must be love, I know that feeling. Here's to a long and happy one.

slalom sis

Here's my sister Carrie ripping it up on the slalom ski back home on the kanawa river in west virginia, we grew up on this river. When we were about 3 my dad took old water skis attached little shoes to them and my sister and I sking and it just progressed from there. Now it's mandatory whenever we go home we always head to the river to get some runs in.

Morning glory

Here is a rare sighting of the sun in northwest washington in the winter. Beleive it or not the weather in washington is very mild usually not getting less than 30 in the winter but not getting over 80 in the summer. This picture was taken fromabout 300 yards from my house, I was too late in getting the mountians in the shot the fog swallowed them up before I could get the shot off, but under the fog are the cascade moutains in the distance. It's amazing the sights you see when your up early enough.

Here's my do it all workhorse of a bike. My Cove Handjob, yes the name is perverse but the ride is pure. Steel frame four inches of travel a little chis king, a little thomson,a little easton carbon,and hopefully soon I"ll outfit it with a new truavatic crankset, hope brakes, dt swiss hubs, stans olympic rims, and sram drivetrain. Or it will stay the way it is and like the rest of my bikes i'll ride it into the dir tin 3 to 5 years. Well happy trails I'll see you out there.

Hooligans

Well, alot of my fellow hooligans have been getting blogs of their ownwith older pics of some of the good (make that great) times. So it got me tring to find a couple of the old pics I hd laying around, Well I didn't have to look far. I had this pic on my mantle. The dude on the left is Darrell the duck, big pimpin in the middle is Evan mr. digger himself, and on the right is yours truly. This pic was taken in the sumer of 2000 in the fantastic land of Bahrain, a nice little sandbox off the coast of saudi arabia. Looking back that was probally one of the best summers everit would of ben better if we would of had all the hooligans out there but we made the most of those six months I'll look for more pics of that summer until then I will be doing my job of daddying.

Hooligan and mini hooligan

Here's one of the original hooligans with what looks to be a hooligan in training crawing or growing out of his back I would venture to say that, that appendage is his son Patrick and I'm not sure but i think he's saying yamaha is #1 but I can't be sure. Well not only are all the hooligans married but almost all of them have kids. We are soreading our seeds soon there will be hooligans everywhere and we will rule the world. Or just get back together have somes beers and talk about the good ol times, then go make some more tales to tell our granchildren.

I've done a lot of things in my life, But I don't think anything compares to the feeling of making my daughter smile. How could you say no to that face, I'm in for a hard time when she starts asking me for a new toy or a car. Well I'll enjoy the little stuff for the moment.

This little piggy went to market this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had ham, this little piggy had none, this little piggy went wee weee weee all the way home.
